It All Starts With a Little Inspiration…

Having grown up in New York City surrounded by world class museums, ethnic neighborhoods, a never ending supply of antique and junk stores, and merchants providing everything from plexi glass to millinery supplies - the creative influences and possibilities were limitless. There was never a time I wasn’t “making” or “collecting” something.

Each object holds my esteem for varied reasons. My love of history, craftsmanship and of aestheticism all played a role in what appealed to me both in objects mundane and/or unusual. Whether I was decorating Barbie’s sprawling apartment (my bedroom floor) or a client’s home, creating environments informed by my surroundings and what I found therein has been foundational.

My design approach remains the same as I continue to travel, hunt, curate, and experiment. My educational and professional path has only led to a deepening of this proclivity. Whether as a shopkeeper, interior designer, graphic designer, or simply a homemaker I choose to surround myself and my clients with the unexpected and the individual. Through this visceral balancing act I am able to create interiors both aesthetically pleasing while personally expressive.
